Pepsi Emojis
We really went to town to help Pepsi celebrate their status as the newest official sponsor of the UEFA Champion’s League. We created two on-pack promotions to run throughout the whole tournament – giving away everything from signed merchandise and official footballs to player meet & greets and tickets to the finals. I designed the promotional packs – from cans and bottles to multipacks and shrinks, as well as the campaign’s core look which I tracked across in-store point of sale and retailtainment ideas, sampling activities and experiential events. The sponsorship was global, so I also helped to build several pan-European toolkits that gave design and concept inspiration to other markets.
A key part of my design was the creation of football related emojis. These icons replaced the Pepsi globe on promotional packs and were the trigger for an innovative augmented reality experience using Blippar technology.
